My Review

Yay for getting the new book!!! Boo for having to wait for more after that ending!! Lol I’m also going to straight up tell you I may get a little bit spoilery because I NEED to say a few things!! Ok here we go- I am so addicted to this series. I’ve been a stalker since Eden but now Ms J is almost topping my leading man with Tyler, don’t tell my BBF!! :) and the ishnit has hit the fan… And the fan blew it up with half a community. OMG! I didn’t think it could get more scary for my favorite people but it did, and I think it could get worse!

I need to say, I think Missy was the most broken and I am overjoyed with Tyler being her glue to put herself back together! She grows some nerves, goes over enemy lines, stays there, all to help get tyler out! And trust me, Tyler really is worth fighting for! I’m so proud of her, for everything she’s over come. I didn’t know if anyone would ever tip Charlotte for my favorite but dammit if missy is really close. And then he trauma is almost repeated and I really thought she’d lose it all. I really did. But leave it to tyler to find her in the dark and bring her back to life. Bravo Ms J, now you gotta top this one ;)

Tyler is one of the best leading male characters I’ve read! He’s already sexy and dangerous but with this experiments things are really different. And yet, he overcomes all of those things to make sure Missy is ok. And the things he says, waiting forever, being gentle, I mean I love him… Oh Logan, this may be a problem for you… Tyler is one sexy HAWT dude!!! And I’m all about his sweetness, the only thing keeping him behind Logan is Logan’s fun and silly attitude. Oh and for those of you crazy folk who don’t know Logan, you should read her Eden series… But go for Aiden- LOGAN’S MINE!! Lol

So it’s off topic, but I f you haven’t figure from my crazy ranting, everything Ms J writes is a masterpiece. Seriously, one of the best writers, and to top it, it’s the best book of the series yet, though I still hold the first of the series very high, this one really shines through. I don’t know how else to say it but this dystopian fantasy has it all- everything and more!! So don’t take my word for it- get your hands on it! Oh wait, take my word that it’s EPICALLY AWESOME!! I’ve decided it’s so worth it :) 5 PAWS, and honestly, it’s worth so much more than that!

THE EDEN SERIES

Eden (Eden, #1)

Trapped within the cruel world of hormones and bullies, fifteen-year-old Aiden is convinced life has more to offer him. His instincts are proven correct on the night he is awakened by a voice calling to him from outside his window. As he sleepily peers into his yard, his eyes slowly focus on a woman who says she is there to take him to Eden. Aiden is about to fulfill the life purpose he never knew he had.

It is in Eden, a land on the brink of war, where Aiden will finally learn to trust himself and those around him. Accompanied by Wolf, his sidekick Logan, and the beautiful archer, Elisa, Aiden is soon thrust into a battle to save Eden. Meanwhile Elisa, the only girl in the King’s Army, is in the midst of her own struggles. Betrothed to a man she has no intention of marrying, Elisa is caught between the need to prove herself and her desire for true happiness. And now that she has met Aiden, she is more confused than ever.

In this action-packed fantasy tale, romance, adventure, and intrigue surround Aiden as he learns just what he is capable of when he discovers confidence and courage.

Eden-West (Eden, #2)

New beginnings, new conflicts, and new adventures arise in the second installment of the Eden Series, Eden-West.
Months after his initial journey to Eden, Aiden is learning to cope with his own transformation. His social status has changed, his friendship with his best friend Ethan is in jeopardy because of it, and worst of all, he has heard absolutely nothing from his new friends in Eden. What has become of the world he fell in love with? Are his friends safe? Is the war over? With no answers, and no hope for contact, Aiden decides to focus on his life in his world. Just as he makes this decision, he encounters a familiar bright light and thinks he knows exactly what it means. Except the light isn’t at all what he expects and neither is the person behind it. When Aiden returns to Eden, it is to a whole new part of that special world, and a whole new set of adventures.
Weeks after Aiden was returned to his own world, Elisa is sent to Nysa, the revered Southern city, to retrieve the one thing she’d rather avoid – Wolf. Captain Turk instructed her to get in and get out – but that is easier said than done. When she finds her missing friend, she also stumbles upon a great deal of trouble. This trouble goes by one name – Markus, the leader of the Sun People.
Follow all your favourite characters as they ready themselves for battle and fight for a world threatened to be destroyed.

Eden-South (Eden, #3)

The betrayal that tore a family apart. Two brothers bent on destroying the other. A whole world on the brink of war.

Aiden has been through his second battle in the magical world of Eden. The victory is short lived and Aiden is sent racing toward his friends in the Capital. After being back in Eden with the Riders, he is eager to reunite with Wolf, Elisa and Logan, although he doesn’t realize just what he’s returning to. Surprises await him when he arrives in the Capital; his close-knit group of friends is slowly falling apart. On top of it all, another battle is just around the corner, one that will change everything.

Rain has made her choice, and now she is in some unknown fortress with the feared sorcerer, Aziz. She wants nothing more but to please him, but being his Queen isn’t as easy as she thought. While trying to learn sorcery, and dealing with Aziz’s advances, Rain is finding her new life a bit overwhelming. Just when she thought it couldn’t get worse, she discovers a secret of Aziz’s, and it is nothing she could have expected.

Rose has supported Callum throughout their journey, but now that the final battle is just around the corner she is faced with a hard reality. Everything she has gained with him could be taken away. Is she willing to live the rest of her life without him? Can she just stand by while he destroys everything, including himself? Will he ever be able to find peace? Will she?

In the third installment of the Eden Series fates will be decided, and the battle between brothers that has been a decade in the making will finally come to an end. Only one of them can be High King.

The battle starts now.

Eden-East (Eden, #4)

New life, new deaths, and truths revealed. Everything ends now.

In the final installment of the Eden series, the King’s army prepares for their biggest battle yet. Aiden and his friends set out to find Aziz in his hidden mountain fortress and bring the war in Eden to an end. But secrets are being discovered along the way, and the weight of them could ruin lives. Aiden is coping with loss and the need for vengeance, as well as changes in himself he doesn’t quite understand. Thousands of lives are depending on him to stop Aziz once and for all, and this time Aiden is more than ready and confident he’ll be the one to do it. The stakes are higher than he ever anticipated on his journey east.

Elisa is embarking on a new phase of her life. She has the man she loves beside her, their group of friends have become stronger, and the end of war is in sight. Now she just needs to see it through so she can finally have her happily ever after. But she knows the truth that the others don’t, and it will test her loyalty and friendship more than anything ever has.
With two brothers side by side, and an army ready for war, the only thing left to be seen is who will live and who will die.

Welcome to the thrilling conclusion of your journey into Eden.

CHAPTER ONE

5 years later…

New Berlin, 2040

Bridgette pressed her back against the door, her breath quick, heart pounding. Smooth, Bridge. Real smooth, she thought. Footsteps stopped just outside the door. She could hear his breathing through the wood. Bridgette bit her lip beneath the mask she now wore, waiting for what would happen next.

“Lottey?” he called out. There was a small thump from the other side, and when he spoke again his voice sounded closer and slightly muffled, like he was resting his forehead against the door. “Look, I know you’re mad at me, and you have every right to be,” he started.

Charlotte was mad at him? A sliver of hope spread through her chest. If her sister was mad at him, it would make Bridgette’s job a heck of a lot easier. Roman Adamson was not only the second in command of the New World order, but he also happened to be the sexiest man Bridgette had ever seen. It made coherent thought difficult around him, and right now she needed all her wits on full alert. If she was going to pull off this disguise of her younger sister, Charlotte, who she had discovered was still alive, she couldn’t afford to make any mistakes. Especially around the man standing outside her room. Well, Charlotte’s room, but for now it was hers.

What I have gotten myself into? She asked herself for the millionth time since she’d agreed to do this. If it hadn’t been for the fact that her evil, sadistic father was holding her sister captive, there was no way Bridgette would have been doing anything to help the rebels. She’d long ago decided to make the best out of the new life she’d been forced to live, and that meant no involvement with the group of men set on destroying the new government. Considering her father was their leader, she definitely hadn’t wanted any part in this. But once again life had thrown her a curveball in the form of her sister, and she was forced to play along. At least until she planted the bomb.

Her back felt sticky with sweat beneath the fabric of the uniform she wore. All she wanted to do was strip out of it, pull off the mask her sister had been wearing for the last five years – how Charlotte had stood it, she had no idea – and take off the boots that were a size too small and pinching the crap out of her toes. Instead she had to deal with Roman, who had caught her in the hall. And of course, Bridgette had done the first thing that had come to mind, which happened to be to turn and run like an idiot, locking herself inside this room.

Again, real smooth, Bridge. Shut up, she told herself. What else could she have done? Stood there and had a conversation with him? Sure, eventually she’d have no choice. She just wasn’t expecting to have to do it within her first ten minutes of being in the headquarters.

“I know you’ll probably never forgive me,” Roman was saying. Forgive him for what? She wondered. What had he done to her sister? Anger simmered inside her. No one hurt her sister. “Just, please know that I truly am sorry if I’ve messed things up for you. It’s the last thing I would ever want.”

Her entire body stilled at the remorse she heard in his voice. Did Roman have feelings for Charlotte? Why did that make her feel sick just thinking about it? No, there was no way. Charlotte was in love with Bridgette’s best friend, Pete McKay. She hadn’t said as much, but you’d have to be blind not to see it when they looked at each other. She had no doubt Pete was working to find Charlotte even now. At least, she hoped he was. The longer Charlotte stayed with their dad, the greater the chance she’d get hurt. Her sister did not know how to shut her mouth, and their father had zero patience.

Bridgette shuddered at the thought of how her sister had looked the last time she had seen her – beaten and bloody, their father standing to the side watching it all. She needed to accomplish what she was here to do – fast. Then she needed to get back to her sister and away from all of this.

“Look, I know you don’t want to see me right now,” Roman said, jarring her back to the situation at hand, “but Ludwig’s been looking for us both. I told him you weren’t feeling well, but I can’t put him off any longer. I need you to come with me to his office.”

Crap. Crap, crap, crap. Roman was bad enough, but Ludwig? That was just a disaster waiting to happen. Bridgette was terrified of the New World leader, who was responsible for destroying more than half the world’s population with his bombs and war. What if he saw through her right away? Charlotte had been in their camp for five years. Long enough for them to recognize all her little quirks and know if things seemed “off”. Bridgette needed to bring her A-game, and she wasn’t quite sure if she even had one.

Taking a deep breath, she stepped back from the door, wincing at the pain in her feet. The first thing she was going to do tomorrow was demand new boots. She didn’t care if it looked odd that her feet had gone up a size overnight, there was no way she was walking around in these boots for the next couple of weeks. She was there to plant a bomb when the arms dealers came to visit, which meant she’d have to play Charlotte for quite a while yet. Her feet were not going to survive.

She opened the door slowly, readying herself for the next step in this ridiculous plot. Her plan had been to practice her voice and mannerisms tonight, so she was ready tomorrow, but it looked like there wouldn’t be time for that. Thankfully Bridgette had a good ear for tone. It probably had a lot to do with her vocal training. She knew how Charlotte spoke. It was softer, smoother than her own voice. Bridgette always spoke a little huskier than her younger sister, but she had faith in herself that she’d be able to pull this off.

As soon as her eyes met Roman’s, all the breath left her. All thoughts of courage disappeared under his stare. He was just so handsome. His eyes were a deep blue, his skin a flawless bronze, dark hair flowed to his shoulders. Shoulders that were massive and intimidating, and yet she wanted to be snuggled into them with those thick arms wrapped around her.

Snap out of it! She scolded herself. Her eyes had been making their own journey down the front of him. She shot them back up to look at his face, thankful for the first time that she wore a mask to hide the flush on her cheeks. He was watching her too, closely enough to cause the flush to spread down the rest of her body.

He thinks you’re Charlotte, she reminded herself. Was his look one of lust, or concern for whatever he’d done to her? She couldn’t tell. Bridgette motioned with her head for him to lead the way, not trusting her voice just yet. The silent treatment – the most effective weapon of women to be used against men when they were pissed. She was going to use it to her full advantage.

He sighed loudly, his shoulders drooping a bit. Then he spun around and started down the hall. Bridgette hurried to keep up. She had no idea where Ludwig’s office was in this building, so she couldn’t afford to get left behind. They walked in silence, with her just a bit behind him. She tried her best, but her eyes kept looking to him, watching the way his body moved as he walked. Every step was controlled, purposeful. Every shift in his muscles screamed of strength and power. She’d never met a man quite like him. He demanded respect and attention. Well, he certainly had hers, and that wasn’t good.

Finally they came to a set of double doors. Roman opened them, standing back to let her enter first. She kept her gaze away from his as she walked by. The heat off his body had her swaying a bit, but she forced herself to keep going.

The room was dark, and clearly a man’s domain. There was nothing feminine about the deep, burgundy walls, leather chairs, and large, wooden desk. Standing in front of floor-to-ceiling windows was her biggest obstacle yet, Ludwig Tennebris. Crap, crap, crap. She stopped just inside, watching him as the prey watches a predator. Roman was scary, but Ludwig, he was terrifying. He didn’t give off the same sort of strength that Roman did. His was more an aura of unpredictability; a man who could and would do anything and everything at any moment. She didn’t like men like him. She liked to know what to expect, and she doubted that would ever be the case with the New World leader.

His eyes swung to hers, his blonde hair messy, probably from running his hands through it. She could tell he was agitated, which didn’t bode well for her.

“Finally,” he said, stepping closer to her. The desk remained between them, a fact she was thankful for. “How are you feeling, Di?”

Bridgette paused for a second. She had forgotten that most of the New World soldiers thought Charlotte’s name was Dinah. It made her wonder why Roman called her Lottey. It also shocked her that Ludwig had asked how she was. If she was being honest, she wasn’t expecting that. From the look of him, she had thought he was going to start yelling, not look genuinely concerned for her.

            “Better,” she answered.

He nodded, taking a seat behind his desk. “Good,” he said. “A lot has happened, or hasn’t happened would be more accurate,” he continued. Rubbing a hand down his face, he leaned back in his chair, his mouth set in a thin line. “Those rebels you’ve been watching, did they ever mention anything about a traitor in their ranks?”

Bridgette shook her head. “Not that I heard,” she said, changing her voice.

“Well someone tipped them off tonight. When my men got to that church, the whole place had been cleared out.”

Charlotte must have warned them, Bridgette thought. Ludwig didn’t seem to suspect her at all. How much did he trust her sister? Roman stepped forward so he was no longer in her peripheral vision.

“Could they have someone on the inside here?” Ludwig said.

Her heart rate kicked into high gear.

“I highly doubt it,” Roman said immediately. “Our men are loyal. Perhaps it was your inside man. Could he be playing both sides?”

Bridgette breathed a sigh of relief. Did Roman know about her sister’s relationship with McKay? His denial had come quickly; making her wonder if he was protecting Charlotte from Ludwig’s suspicion.

Ludwig rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “We’ll have to interrogate him and see, I suppose.” His head turned to her. “Have you had any contact from the rebels you’ve been watching?”

She shook her head. “They’re gone as well,” she said. At least she hoped they were. If McKay and the gang were smart, they would be far away from New Berlin. She had a pretty good intuition that Ludwig and his men were going to tear the eastern ghetto apart looking for them.

His lips pressed together. “Did you ever break through their walls?”

            She shook her head again.

He let out a long breath. “I’m disappointed, but at least that means you can stop going out. I didn’t like you being in the lower’s section. Stay around headquarters until we figure out where they are. I’m worried they might have figured out who you were, and realized it was only a matter of time before I found them.”

They definitely knew who Charlotte was now, she thought wryly.

“We need to find these rats and get rid of them once and for all,” Ludwig continued. “I can’t have them running around out there causing trouble when our dealers are coming to town. We need this problem taken care of.” His eyes focused on Roman.

His second in command nodded in understanding. “We’ll find them,” Roman said.

“You’d better.” Ludwig’s eyes went back to Bridgette, dropping down the front of her body and up again. A small smile played on his lips as amusement danced in his eyes. “Have you gained weight, Di?”

Her whole body stiffened. This was exactly what she’d been afraid of. When people have been around each other for long periods of time, they would be more likely to notice slight changes. What the hell was she supposed to say now?

“You did not just say that,” Roman said. Bridgette turned to look at him. Bad idea. Looking at him just made maintaining her charade harder. She still remembered the last time they were together when she was still working at the Red Lounge. “Do I make you nervous, Bridgette?” he had asked. The answer was, then and now, a resounding yes. Having to hide that fact from him was probably going to be the hardest thing about this entire mission.

“What?” Ludwig said with a laugh. “I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. She’s just looking more – curvy. It must be that lower section diet. Pub food looks good on you.” He gave her a playful wink. She was being teased by Ludwig-friggin-Tennebris. This was surreal.

“Never talk about a lady’s weight,” Roman said. Bridgette glanced at him and saw that he was smiling too.

Time to play this right, she thought. From now on she was going to live by the code – W.W.C.D. What Would Charlotte Do. Bridgette flipped them both off, stopping herself from cringing at the rude gesture, and turned to leave, calling over her shoulder, “I’m going to bed,” and quickly walked out of the room. Their laughter followed her out.

My Review:

So, we jump right in where we left off. Charlotte/Dina/X sister’s Bridgette has gone to the inside of the center of the new world war compound, impersonating her, because she wants to save Charlotte. She has no idea what she’s going up against. This characters are all back for some more awesome, and we even get to meet so excellent new characters, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come now that we’ve had the little surprise plot twist with Bridgette. :) Nope, won’t be spilling that little secret. LOL

So, we not only get to see inside Bridgette’s head, who’s not really that much like Charlotte. But I wouldn’t have expected that, with Charlotte watching her mother’s murder, and living in the compound for so long. Bridgette is a little more carefree. And yet, she is so surprised but Roman and Ludwig’s care and concern for Charlotte. I think Bridgette maybe thought Charlotte was living a miserable prisoned life. She got some surprises. She also has the major hots for Roman, and he for her. But then it gets complicated because they are on opposite sides. And she’s supposed to be her sister, so does Roman have the hots for her or for Charlotte? ooooooh, a little drama is always fun :) Plus, it’s pretty cool to see things from Bridgette who’s funny and more spunky than Charlotte.

Roman is awesome! I loved him, even if I thought his well intentioned actions were a little off. He’s hard, but you finally get to learn a whole lot about him. He’s one of my favorite characters. He may be strong, and sometimes cruel, but you also see that he has remorse, and feelings, and he wants to do the right thing, but sometimes you are taught something, and things can change. Roman and Bridgette’s relationship is a really really cute one. I am all for them!

And though we are still mostly about Bridgette and Roman, we are definitely still all about Charlotte and Pete. And Pete’s brothers, and the new characters, and the rest of the resistance. And lets talk bad guys. You know, you will get to see a new side of Ludwig in this one, and I am whole heartedly saying that he’s only kind of a bad guy, the new bad guy that seriously needs to die is Charlotte and Bridgette’s dad. And I know this will sound mean, but Roman gave her mother a mercy killing because with the way these two have treated there kids, it’s just horrible!!!

I am all in for this one. I just love this series! I love the writing, I love the writing style, and I would love to know how Ms J’s brain comes up with these awesome ideas! I love it! Gimme Gimme Gimme more! Always! :) And warning, there’s always a cliff hanger LOL well played Ms J! 5 MAGNIFICENT NEW WORLD RESISTANCE PAWS!!!

My Review:

I am not ashamed to say I cried when I finished reading this. I mean, probably some sobs and craziness, but it was a beautiful cry. It was taking a journey and realizing it was one of the best walks you’ve ever taken. You know, when it’s been cold all winner, and you get that first day of spring, and you can’t do anything but sit outside and take big deep breaths of fresh air? Well that’s this series. There has been nothing more amazing than taking this journey with the author, the characters, the fellow fans of this series, because it’s only once in a blue moon that you realize you have something this special on your hands. You know, I’m seriously not sure what I’m supposed to do with myself now that my book boyfriend is going away :( *blinks away tears* It’s like pringles, once you pop, you can’t stop, except now the cans empty, and every store is out hahahahaha yes, that was terrible analogies, but you get my drift :) You know what’s the best part, I DID NOT see a lot of those endings coming. Seriously, way to make it not so predictable, even if it rocks you to your core!

Eden East starts immediately where Eden South finished, with a devastating blow, and a major character being kidnapped. I hate to say it, but this move literally brought everyone to their feet and ready to take on the world. Aiden has already given up so much for Eden, so when this directly effects Aiden, you realize how much all of these people really care for him in that short time they’ve gotten to know him. This makes things have so much more meaning. Aiden is one of the best main characters I’ve ever read. He’s one of the very few major heroes that isn’t all broken and sad and pitiful. LOL I know I say this, don’t get me wrong, he has flaws, but he tries to be optimistic for everyone else. He tries to be strong, so others have a shoulder to cry on. He’s always considerate. He’s always willing to go head first, to make sure that those behind him have a chance to save the day too. He’s a beautiful soul.

There are so many major characters  in here, you won’t look at Wolf, Elisa, Logan (he’s still mine), Moose, Turk, Jameson, Callum, Rose, Rain, and Elex as sidekicks any longer. They will become the main building blocks needed for Eden to be Eden. There are no more side kicks. There are only equals. They are the heart and soul of the series. You can’t have one without the other. It says so much about the writing of Ms Stalder that she has created such a masterpiece of beautiful amazing wonderful world building and character building. No one is ever just a bad guy. Well, except maybe Aziz, he’s really a bad guy. But you’ll meet Elex and Callum, and though they maybe start out with you thinking they are bad guys, but you are going to fall in love with them!

There’s just a few things I have to talk about, that I will try to leave it unspoilery…. Elex and Rain’s relationship- I am really happy about this and I have feeling we may see them again :) Rose and Callum- I think they may be one of the most wonderful couples of the series. Elisa and Wolf, I think everyone knew it was coming, but all those swooning girls are highly disappointed. Not to mention Logan, who lost his sidekick. Ah Logan, he will always be my jokester, who tries to lighten the mood and make things a little more fun :) Aiden’s final knowledge of who and WHAT he is, it’s amazingly epic. I DID NOT see that one coming, I mean REALLY! I totally kept thinking of things that were totally wrong. Turk, Jameson, Diana, I’m not sure I can say anything without ruining something, so just know something about something is happening there LOL and lastly, to the ending, if you had to have that ONE little mishap to lead the the happily ever after, I can honestly say I couldn’t be more stoked at this one. Even I can say that this is the perfect ending, even if it took some tears to get there. My heart is full boys, my heart is full (high five if you got that move reference :))! And my name looks damn good on paper… you’ll have to read this story to find out what that means :)

There’s so many things this book has to offer. There’s fantasy elements, there’s action, there’s romance, there’s breath taking scenery, there’s a phenomenal flow of words that will literally take you into Eden. Hell, even if it were boring, I’d read it for the writing, but then it wouldn’t be Ms J if it were boring. I don’t think she could do boring LOL There will never come a time that I won’t buy anything that Ms Stalder writes, because she is a MUST BUY FOREVER! She has such a wonderful knack for taking a few words and turning them into a kaleidoscope of colors and feelings and wonderment. There is nothing left to say except please, PLEASE do NOT ever EVER stop WRITING! I need your stories almost as much as I love my fur babies- if you know me, you know that’s a tremendous amount :) There are no amount of PAWS for this. Take my 5 PAWS and multiply that times infinity, and then give Logan a kiss for me :)

So how’s that happily ever after treating you, especially knowing your significant other can totally kick your booty :)

*laughs* the fact that she can kick my ‘booty’, as you say, makes my happily ever after even better. Having someone by my side for the rest of my life who is, not only beautiful and talented, but can also put me in my place and keep me in line is amazing. She challenges me, but that is one of the things I love most about her.

Do you think you’ll ever get to see Aiden again?

Honestly, I don’t know. I hate to even think about it. Over the short period of time that I’ve known Aiden, he’s become one of my closest friends. I respect and admire him, and to think that I’ll never see him again is depressing. I hope we get to see him. I really do. But if I don’t, I just pray to the Gods that he has a happy life in his world, because he deserves it.

How about the way things turned out, you have any regrets or what if’s?

I don’t regret anything. Obviously I wish the people we lost had made it through. It’s never easy after a war, to come to terms with all those who didn’t return home with us. All you can do is try to be there for their family and friends while they grieve.

What do you think you’ve learned most from Aiden?

Aiden taught me to never give up, regardless of all the obstacles that are thrown at you. I’ve never known another person who had to deal with and push through as many trials as Aiden did. Even before we learned the truth about him, he had so much to deal with. Training and being in a new world,  fighting huge battles and having the level of expectations on your shoulders like he did, I don’t know how Aiden kept going in such a positive manner the way he did. When he lost Lily, he still didn’t give up or let it bring him down. He didn’t just kept himself going – he kept us all going, and motivated us to be the best we could be. He was truly one of a kind.

Well said :) How about all the ladies…. They all still fight over you even though you’re now taken :) anything to say about that?

*laughs* What ladies? I don’t know what you’re talking about. *winks*

Pfft I call Bullshit! Do you know what that means Wolf :)

Aiden:

I’m thinking of so many questions I have for you, but I have to keep it kinda censored for those who haven’t read too much yet, so my first question will be, how do you feel, now that it’s over, and you know how it ends?

I think I’m still trying to process everything. It’s a lot to deal with, and everything happened at once, so my mind is still trying to wrap around it all. I’m not going to let what was revealed bring me down, or make me feel any differently about myself. I know who I am. I’m just glad it’s all over and Eden is safe from Aziz’s insanity. We suffered losses, and I’m still mourning, but for those who made it, I’m so happy that they can enjoy the rest of their lives in peace. I’ll miss them more than I can say, but at least I know I did all I could to give them that.

Any regrets, or what if’s, or things you’d change? PS, I totally squealed for your happily ever after ;)

Thanks *chuckles* I think if you start thinking about all the things you wish you could change, or wish could have gone differently, you’d drive yourself crazy. Of course there are things I wish I could have stopped from happening. That list would be a mile long. My friends in both worlds suffered, and I would do anything to go back in time and stop that from happening, but it’s just not reality. All I can do is accept everything that happened and try to move on and be happy.

What do you think you’ve learned from Eden, going there, meeting new people, learning a new culture?

I’m not sure I could put all that I’ve learned into words. Eden gave me strength and confidence, and shaped me into the person I am today. I don’t think the Aiden that first entered Eden is the same one who left at the end. I’ve been through so much, and seen and done things I would never think possible, but I’m thankful for each and every one of those experiences. The best part of it all was getting to meet my friends there, and being able to find a person that I love and can spend the rest of my life with.

What do you think you miss the most about Eden? I know you said sometimes you wished Eden had cars, but is there anything you wish your world had instead?

I’ll miss everything about Eden. The people, the land, the feel of it. There is nothing else in the world that can compare to Eden. It’s simply breathtaking. I wish our world was as low key as their world, and still respects nature the way they do. The world we live in is so rushed and focused on material things, I think we sometimes miss the bigger picture in life.

I so agree with you on so many levels about that. Do you think you’ll ever go back? Because I sure hope you do!

I really can’t say. If I could go back to visit I would, but I don’t think that’s possible.

I know for a fact that everyone misses you and they wish for you to be able to go back for a visit :)

Elisa:

I’m so proud of you! You were my biggest hero, because a girl really can hold their own and be just as awesome as a dude! But, onto the goodies, how’s Wolf?

Thanks! I think girls need to realize we’re just as capable and fierce as men. *smiles* Wolf is Wolf *laughs* what else can I say? I love him despite that.

I know it’s a given, but do you miss Aiden? Do you think you’ll see him again?

I miss him so much. When he left, I felt like we truly lost him forever, and I really hope that’s not the case. I have no idea if we’ll ever see him again, but I pray to the Gods we do.

Can you tell me any goodies on this new Eden spin off series- which I am SERIOUSLY EXCITED for, and will you have any parts?

I have no idea. I know it takes place in Elysium, but I’ve never been there so I’m not sure what the details are. Very few people from Eden travel to Elysium, so I don’t think I’ll be in it.

I’ll be devastated and so sad if you don’t at least pop in! How’s my Logan? I miss him! LOL and if you could say something to Aiden right now, what would you say?

Ugh, Logan is Logan. He’s like my child. I get a nice wakeup call most mornings, and when I say nice, I don’t mean it. I know most women like to see Logan’s face first thing in the morning, but I’m not most women *laughs*. Thankfully he’s been away for a while, so Wolf and I have been getting some well-earned peace. If I could say anything to Aiden, it would be just that I miss him and I hope he’s happy.

How are you doing with your losses, and it sure seems you’ve lost the most, which I really am sorry for?

Thank you. I’m dealing with them. It’s not easy, because I’ve lost important people that have been in my life since I was born, but it helps to have Wolf by my side.

Anything else you’d like me to know? Ya know, maybe something good or fun, or even better, something naughty about Wolf or Logan ;)

*laughs* well I definitely don’t want to tell you anything naughty about Wolf. And I really don’t want to know anything naughty about Logan, because I’m sure that list is endless.*shudders*

*sigh* I was hoping you’d at least give me something to hold on to :)

Callum:

How’s it feel right now? Yes, I am keeping it very vague, but I know you have to be over the moon with all the happiness :)

*smiles* I’m definitely the happiest I’ve ever been, but also the most overwhelmed. I have a lot on my shoulders right now, so I’m learning to cope with it all. It’s never easy trying to bring a city back from the fears and horrors of war, but the people of Capital City are resilient and I think we’re going to be just fine. My personal life helps to keep me grounded and sane. It’s nice to be able to settle down with them at the end of a long, stressful day.

I am sorry for your loss, as it may seem to be the biggest hit, and though I can’t say who, I’m still so sorry. But you have your wife, and a family now, how’s that going for you :)

It’s more than I could have ever hoped for, and probably more than I deserve. I suffered a great loss, but I also gained something so much more, so that’s helping to ease the hurt.

Before now, knowing what you do, did you think that going to war against your brother was really worth it?

This one is a hard one for me. On your questions alone, absolutely not. If I could go back and change that night I left, and never go to war with Jameson, I would. It took me a long time to realize it, but my brother was never my enemy, and I wish I had done things differently. That being said, when I think about my life for the past ten years, and what I’ve found because of the path I chose, I have to say, yes it was worth it. If I hadn’t gone to Brutus I would never had gotten to know him. I value the friendship I made with the leader of the north, and I still miss him every day. I know what others think and say about him, but Brutus the Red was one of the best men I’ve ever known. And, of course, if I hadn’t gone to war against Jameson, I never would have met Rose. That is a life I can’t imagine, so I’m happy things worked out the way they did.

Please wish Rose well wishes for me, as I know she’s a little too busy to stop by for an interview, but let her know I think she’s awesome! And lastly for you, is there anything you think you may be able to do to get Aiden back for a visit soon? :)

Thank you *smiles* I will make sure to pass along the message. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to bring him over. I didn’t get to know Aiden as well as the others, but I can see how much his absence saddens those who became close with him. I wish he could still come to Eden, but I know nothing of the ways of magic, so I cannot say if it is even possible.

Logan:

So lastly, but most certainly not the least, I had to save the best for the end :) How ya doing without Aiden?

Better now that you’re here *winks* *chuckles* Seriously though, I miss him a lot. I’m still keeping up the hope that he’ll be back. I need to get a rematch in after he gave me that black eye.

You know you started it, you gave him the black eye first! How’s Eden been since he’s gone?

Well I went back to Avalon with Moose, so I’ve been hanging out with the Riders for a while. It’s been nice. I miss Capital City, and Wolf and Elisa, but Wolf’s mom has been taking real good care of me, so I’m thinking about staying a while longer. Unless Hawke kicks me out first, which might happen since he growls every time I give Sunny a compliment. *chuckles*

Ummm, hello, do I need to be jealous! And how are you handling Wolf and Elisa together hehehehe :)

They gross me out, unless they’re fighting, then I feel like everything is right in the world again. Just kidding. I’m so happy for them. Obviously I knew they were in love with each other for years now, so it’s nice to see they’ve caught up. *laughs*

How’s Moose, he’s almost as cool as you ;)

Pffffffttttt not even. No one is as cool as me. Moose is awesome. He’s been showing me around Avalon, and we’ve been having a lot of fun.

Ok with that answer, do NOT go looking around at those photos of Moose on here, I have a feeling you may get mad at me :) Any regrets? Anything you’re thinking you wished would have been different?

I wish we didn’t lose those who died, and I wish Aiden never left. And I wish one of those gorgeous Forest women would have given me a chance, but I guess not everyone has good taste like you do.

Are you going to be in the spin off of Eden? I’m really hoping I get to see more of you!

No idea *shrugs*

Any chance you can bribe one of those magical being to hop you over to my border? LOL

I’ll definitely try *winks*

I’m sending my smooches, and I will ask you as a last question…. Anything you can tell us on how things are now, and what’s to come in the future?

Right now I think people are just trying to adjust to the changes in the Capital, and the fact that we don’t have to worry about Aziz anymore. Even having the peace with the north is a big change for Eden. There’s something strange going on in the south, but right now I don’t know much about it. I have no idea what the future will hold, I’m just hoping there won’t be any wars because my butt is still sore from all that riding around.

Well, that’s all I could keep them still for long enough :) and I wanna say A Big HUGE massive THANK YOU to Ms J for this!! I’m pretty sure I love you more :)

All’s fair in love and war.

My Review:

So, I know people keep telling me to read-and watch- the Hunger Games. Yes, I own all the books, the original hardback versions, but no I have not read them yet. When I think dystopian, I actually think of David Estes’s Dweller series. Yes, I so love me some of that whole series. BUT, I can’t compare anything to hunger games because I haven’t read them YET. I AM, however, probably the biggest fan of Ms. Stalder’s Eden series. So, I was, at first, not sure about how much I was going to like this series being so different from Eden. Except, it’s not completely different. There are always two sides to everything when it comes to Ms. Stalder’s writing. You see, in the Eden series, you are never exactly sure who is really the bad guys, because there’s good on both sides, and bad on both sides. Well, let me just say that there is this case here too. Except that this one is much more adult themed, much more intense in the war section, as it’s already happened, the almost end of the world and these are who are left. There are always two sides to everything. Makes you think a little harder about how you look at things, as well. I have so much to say about this book, but I will be careful, because I will NOT spoil anything for anyone. This one is way too good to do that. :)

So, what if you made it through the apocalypse? What if you and your sister and your parents lived through the bombing that took out a serious amount of the world’s population, and though bruised and bent, not everyone is completely broken. But some things are extremely messed up. Charlotte is this girl. She and her family made it. Yes, this world is pretty rough, but at least she has her family, until that day. That day, Charlotte will forever be changed and will become Dinah. Dinah is nothing like Charlotte. Charlotte may have been stubborn, but she was sweet and somewhat innocent and carefree. Dinah is ruthless, and meticulous, and completely a killer. You see, Dinah has a gift, and as Charlotte kept it hidden, but as Dinah uses it everyday to be one step ahead on this war against the rebels. Except one day, she meets a rebel that she just can’t use her gift on, and she also can’t seem to get her mind off of either.

Pete McKay is a total HAWT piece. LOL He knows it too. He’s gorgeous, he’s leading the rebels, and he’s actually a good guy. He’s with the rebels because he wants a better life. They army is harsh, and quite terrible and they kill for no reason sometimes. All he wants is for his family and friends to be able to live. He’s willing to risk his life for this cause, until he meets Dinah. Except there are some serious plot twists. And these plot twists will BLOW YOUR MIND!! Ok, I predicted some of them, but definitely not all of them. Those caught me completely off guard. I mean, you will be slack jawed and totally shocked.

There are wonderful side characters and world building here. There’s plenty going on, getting glimpses into some of the secondary character’s heads. It makes for a much more interesting story when you not only see into the main character’s heads, but seeing the outside as well. Plus, the world building is majestic. Who knew you could become so engrossed into something like an apocalyptic London. I sure did. And that’s the really cool part. You don’t have to know what London looks like now, because it won’t even be similar to what it looks like in the book. Ms. Stalder creates a setting that you can literally see while you are reading. It’s quite fantastic.

I cannot tell you if love is the greatest of them all. I am thinking you will have to read to find out if Pete McKay and Dinah can make it out alive. But I CAN tell you that my love for this author not only grew, but has flown to the moon. I am still the hugest fan of the Eden series, but with the writing that comes from this author, it’s completely impossible to not fall in love with EVERYTHING she writes. This is the first book of the series, and it was beyond expectations. I am not quite sure I can find the words to express how wonderful she can articulate a few words to make magic happen. Seriously, I don’t care that I haven’t read the Hunger Games, I am now going to start saying, “It’s so awesome, just like Switch and The Dwellers series” and then my people will know that it’s related to the top tiers of Dystopian EPICNESS!

I will leave you with the fact that though there is not very many happy days in this world, there is some happiness that will make your heart swell. You will fall in love with the main players of the army, then you will completely cheer for the good guys of the rebels. You will beg for more, you will cry, you will laugh, you will get frustrated, and then you will be in total shock when you realize you read the whole thing, and NEED more. I am so proud to call Ms Stalder an author friend. She will always be a “must buy” because how could she not be after everything she writes. :) Seriously, when this is released, get your copy faster that you swat a fly- I swat them extra fast LOL! You will not only be missing out if you don’t, I will no longer think you to be the smart reader you can be :) This is not only magic in writing, it’s like an artist making that one of a kind painting that is breathtaking! If I were a giving kind I would go straight into the 5 PAWS rating, but with this one, I just HAVE to give a rare, EXCEPTIONALLY MAGNIFICENT, PHENOMENAL, BREATH TAKING 6 PAWS!! Yes, I am giving a series starting that rating, which I have NEVER done before. This one was amazing. There isn’t anything else to say, but “what are you waiting for?”

Ms J wanted to gimme a birthday present, so she picked the day before my birthday :) I just love her! HAHAHA ok she didn’t know it was my birthday BUT in case you needed to know that. :) No worries, I already squealed enough to her about it. LOL I am truly the stalker for her, as I am sure when she gets my random “How’s Logan” emails, she pretty much cringes :) I also now have to say “Logan” and not “My Book Boyfriend” because then I get comments such as… “are you team adain or team wolf?” Ummm, TEAM LOGAN!!!! LOL Anyways…. I AM IN LOVE with this cover. I cannot say how entirely thrilled I am for this book. And Ms J, I know you new book Switched comes out very soon, and I can honestly say that I’ve started it and I am loving it. That’s all you get for now LOL
