An ancient evil has resurfaced, the soul of the Indigo Child is at stake. Beware those with the Stealing Breath…

Deep in the backwoods of North Dakota, Sarah Ross is searching for a missing child when she is attacked by a glowing-eyed, transparent creature known to the Navajo as a Skinwalker. Using mysterious abilities, Sarah escapes, only to run directly into Evan Valente, a handsome, charismatic stranger who helps her back to safety. But why is Evan out in the forest so early in the morning?

Sarah learns her eyes bear the mark of the Indigo Child, an evolved human with the ability to feel the emotions of others; unfortunately, her indigo aura is highly desirable to those who wish to steal her powerful essence.

Soon, Sarah falls deeply in love with Evan and wants nothing more than to follow her heart, but she can’t ignore the lingering feeling that Evan is hiding a terrible secret. The deeper she digs, the more danger she faces, forcing her to face the darkest, innermost parts of her soul.

Stealing Breath is a darkly romantic tale of a young womanโ€™s journey for love within the fearsome realm of the paranormal. It is a spellbinding read that mines the inner workings of the human character. Love, loss and the quest for redemption, these characters will echo in your mind long after youโ€™ve put the book down.

My 5 PAW Review HERE!!

Silencing Breath (Stealing Breath, #2)

Silencing Breath, book two in the Stealing Breath series.

Just as Sarah Ross is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an Indigo Child and settling into a normal life with her beloved Evan, her entire world shatters when Evan disappears without a trace.

Desperate to find him, Sarahโ€™s search leads her to a sadistic serial killer who confirms her worst fears are true; Evan has been kidnapped, and he is once again in the clutches of his abusive family of necromancers.

Sarah uncovers not only Evan’s dark past he tried so desperately to protect her from, but also The Key of Solomon, an ancient text for summoning the dead.

Knowing her abilities are limited in the face of this ancient power, Sarah is forced to face the Malandanti in order to save him. However, one question remains: once he is found, will Evan be the same man she fell in love with?

My Review:

What do you do when you love, hate, and want to hug a character in a book? Well, you clap, say ,”bravo, gimme more,” and patiently wait for the next book! LOL! I will explain that sentence in a second ๐Ÿ™‚ I was beyond thrilled when I got the email that the second book was coming out. I loved the first book, so it’s only fitting that I completely delve into book two ๐Ÿ™‚ and we have another stunning ride, if not on the darker side. This story was definitely a little bit more in the scary department ๐Ÿ˜‰

So, to explain the first sentence. I actually like Sarah. I love her loyalty and her love and her intelligence… And then I hate her rash, stupid, deadly, idiotic decision making. I know something totally crazy upheaved your life- but maybe have a little value with other people’s lives as well. And then I wanna hug her, because I feel sorry for her, and she doesn’t even KNOW everything that happens during “the incident”. I know it’s told that Evan is kidnapped but I will not spoil it for you. I will say you may want to have a not-so-weak stomach for this ride. I think it’s done particularly well.

Evan…. I can’t say anything except ” I am so so sorry, and some brokens are fixable with time.” I loved his character and he particularly goes through the hardest ride in this one.

And Stefano… He’s the bad guy, and maybe he isn’t… And he’s evil… And maybe he isn’t. This is where I find the author is particularly talented. When you have a villain, it should be all bad, but yet there’s something about Stefano that maybe isn’t completely bad. Hell, Sarah could be considered not so good now. So well done on making your Heros not so hero-like and your villains not so hatable!

I love the author’s writing style. It’s different and unique, and it flows. I was stuck on every word of this book because I couldn’t believe all the things that were happening. And lets say there’s plenty of action to go around! All I can say is maybe turn on the light- leave them on- lock the doors, grab some snacks and get really comfortable because you won’t be moving for a while! ๐Ÿ™‚ 5 AWESOME PAWSOME PAWS!!!
